Deadlift for Phil – Saturday January 14th

Phil Plato is our very good friend and fellow Niagara Powerlifting Club member.  Phil is also the Canadian Powerlifting Union Treasurer.

Unfortunately, Phil has serious health issues to deal with right now and needs a chairlift. Niagara Powerlifting Club is donating $1000. Top Dawgs powerlifting friendly gym in is where Niagara train. They have been kind enough to donate their gym for this “Deadlift for fun and Phil” event.

Come down, try out a new gym and have some fun as well. Help out a great guy who needs his powerlifting family right now in many ways. This is open to everyone regardless of affiliation.

ALL MONEY RAISED IS GOING TO PHIL.

OK, here are Glyn’s fabricated rules for this event.
1. $30 Entry Fee, etansfer to marlenemoore657@gmail.com In your email please include your name and year of birth and gender.
2. Your year of birth is required as we are using the age wilksformula for 1st – 3rd.
3. At the contest choose a weight that you hope to get 10 reps with. This can be changed at anytime if the weight is always going up. Weights will be in LBS.
4. The weight will start as in powerlifting at the lowest and increase as the event progresses.
5. When you walk out to lift you step on the scale and I will put in your bodyweight for your wilks number.

If you pick say 200 lbs and get 10 reps then 2000 lbs go forward to your wilks number. If you get 8 reps then it would be 8 x 200 = 1600 lbs go to your wilks number. Maximum of ten reps allowed so pick high lol.
