The OPA is closely monitoring official information sources regarding COVID-19 and the implications for the health and well-being of our athletes and volunteers.
We are following the guidelines provided by Health Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Health and at this time, the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for the general population of Canada, but this could change very rapidly.
The OPA will continue to closely monitor this and will take proactive measures as necessary and consistent with the guidance provided by the public health agencies.
This may include postponement or cancellation of upcoming contests scheduled. Stay tuned for any further updates in this regard.
